A Solo Work -- Dual, No.5

The dance challenges the ideal stereotype of beauty and the established expectations of female sexuality. There are no theater lights used in the dance. A flashlight is the primary light source of the dance. It limits spectators’ vision and empowers me as a female. I dance with the projected images of myself in different states to question the reality: which state is real, or they are both real? I want to reveal the disordered psychological states we have, and to reveal the pressure we endure, the pain we suffer, and the powerless and hopeless status we have as women in the 21st century.
